Nippon Paint x Hong Kong Federation of Women’s Centres (HKFWC)-“Painting Volunteer Team
This plan aims to set up a group of paint volunteer teams composed of women. At the beginning of the plan, Nippon Paint provided painting training courses for the volunteers. Later, we work with HKFWC to identify some old-style buildings in Hong Kong as a pilot project for helping residents who needs to repair and renovation of walls or ceilings. In addition to helping disadvantaged communities renovate their homes, our goal is bringing women practical experience of painting, better master and consolidate the skills they have learned.
Recently, volunteer painting team went to Tai Wo Estate to carry out reparation works for residents who are in need, including: ashing walls and ceilings, removing mildew and painting. During the entire construction process, the women’s volunteer team performed very professionally and reliably, whether it was pre-protection or post-cleaning and finishing! Nippon Paint hopes to expand the scale of the volunteer team plan in the future, continue to give back to the society, and fulfill our corporate social responsibilities.
