Nippon Paint Asia Young Designer Awards celebrated emerging talent from across the region

Established in 2008, the Asia Young Designer Awards is part of Nippon Paint’s vision to nurture the region’s next generation of socially-conscious designers. It is the only award in Asia for young aspiring architects and designers that strives to inspire them to be future beacons of change in our society.

The 11th Nippon Paint Asia Young Designer Awards (AYDA) was successfully concluded in Singapore. The architect, Paul Tange, led 12 international judges and brought together 28 students from 15 geograpgical locations This year’s theme is “FORWARD: CHALLENGING DESIGN BOUNDARIES”, and young designers showcase the expectations of the future. The Winners walked away with more than US$10,000 worth of prizes, including the opportunity to apply for a fully-funded 6-week Design Discovery programme at Harvard University Graduate School of Design in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
